What a Difference a Day Makes.

The past month and a half was a wonderful trip back to the States: we saw family, drank eggnog, worked hard at the office, ate polish pierogi, and participated in many a gift exchange. Friends and family: you blessed us exceedingly!! Thank you so much for pouring out phone calls, hugs, messages in english, gifts, and welcome back lunches on us. It made that time so enjoyable.

24+ hours of flying has now put us back in Beijing! In September I never thought I would say this, but I am very happy to be back. Hearing chinese swirl around me is oddly comforting and i have been craving dumplings. So, now i am sitting back at my desk, looking out the window, and eating the latest office treat: crispy dates. Not sure how I feel about them yet.

I am ready to soak this place up, for all of it's enigmas, curiosities, cold weather, and adventures. I can't wait. Check back for our daily fun forays living in this foreign land; I can't wait to share them with you!
